Epic Games announced Sept. 25 the acquisition of SuperAwesome, a pioneer in the "kidtech" market. SuperAwesome gives developers the tools to create safer digital experiences for younger audiences. Together Epic Games and SuperAwesome will build a wide range of kid-safe services.
SuperAwesome's Kids Web Services (KWS) platform is a parental consent management toolkit that makes it easier for developers to build great experiences for users of all ages. Today the SuperAwesome products and services are GDPR compliant and have been certified through the KidSAFE and ESRB COPPA Safe Harbor programs. With AwesomeAds, developers can offer kid-safe monetization inside their products.
SuperAwesome is trusted by more than 300 top brands, including LEGO, NBC Universal, and Hasbro to power safe digital engagement for more than 500,000,000 kids every month, across thousands of apps, games and services.
